# SON chat, on forums.

hey,

I was thinking that it would be a pretty neat idea if there was a chat option somewhere on the son page. Before i have seen a chat located underneath the forums so people not responding to forum posts can chat with anyone hanging around. Also if someone needs tech help imidiatly hopefully someone could help.

All-in-all i think it would be a great way to make son a freindlier closer enviornment.

Good idea, you can check out [torontoaccords.com](http://torontoaccords.com) for a good example of adding a chat to the forums…

…and it would give me something to do while sitting here at work.

Bleh. #240sx on EFnet. Or if you really wanna keep it SON, then  
someone run #son240sx on EFnet. 🙂

AFAIK, only me and Freak frequent on #240sx (sometimes mikeness drops in).

It’d be cool to see more of you there…

Edit: TorontoAccord’s chat is cool but it runs off PHP and MySQL. I think  
you’d have to setup a database and all that jazz for it to work. Maybe  
look into a Java based chat.

We could use a java IRC client for people to access the chat thru a web  
interface and I can set this up.
