I thought I remembered some gay Judge Judy case or something that pretty much said if they refuse legal tender you are not liable for the charges anymore.
A dude tried to pay his car insurance in pennies or something like that? Well they refused to take the pennies, Judge Judy said fuck you, he tried to pay you, you refused national currency for our country… you’re out the bucks.
Then again, my memory is shot. I might just be making all this up.

wouldn’t that be sweet…i’d try that on my insurance if i had the time to get the pennies transport them and lug them into the office…
