A 87 944 w/70K original miles in immaculate condition w/ newly installed 3" exhaust w/ borla XR1 offroad exhaust afterclass… from a roll 1st gear 5-15 mph - 110 on road XX . … close race but the new turb beats the old by half a car (solo on dave’s u-n) ---

theres another 944 with 3" exhaust and a borla muffler for shame. was it a turbo? ---

yup. he just needed the muffler to keep it a little quieter. hebuilt a full 3" for it and didnt want it to be ridiculous. also, the CAI is awesome. i love it. makes mid range much better and BOV sounds great. im really pleased with it. my 3" exhaust should only help(whenever it decides to show up) ---

sounds like a quick car you got there solo. I was thinking you were still in the area so I was thinking there might be another modified 944 turbo in the area. Though I bet my turbo is bigger than his alot bigger t67 😉 ---

to be honest i think the mazdaspeed cai is a little loud. I’m not one for a whole lot of extra noise though. Nice to actually hear the turbo though 🙂 Covering the wheel well vents takes the edge off of the sound perfectly imo. Which I recommend anyways, for the winter months. ---

If my speed6 had a CAI and exhaust, I think it may even be a good roll race. Our exhausts are so restrictive… BTW, mine is Titanium. I havent seen a red one around here. yea it may be the same engine but the the fwd and weight play a large part in the roll factor, i drive both the speed3 and 6 atleast once a week I’m very familiar with both… ---

The speed3 is lighter, so it would probably be able to edge out it’s big brother. The speed6 is up around 3500lbs i believe. Now you put a couple fat people in the speed3, no chance 😉 edit, yeah ---
