Dear(insert company or contact person’s name here) , Hello, this is John White of [Pittspeed.com](http://Pittspeed.com) writing in regards to a business proposition that will benefit all parties involved. However, before I pitch my business proposition, please let me tell you more about myself. I am the owner of a Pittsburgh based car message board aptly named [Pittspeed.com](http://Pittspeed.com). This message board is highly drag race orientated. Unlike other message boards, Pittspeed members actually get along and help one another out. This is because we all have the same common goal- to run the quarter mile as quickly as possible. As a result of this camaraderie, the fellow members and shop owners of [Pittspeed.com](http://Pittspeed.com) are building a drag car that will appear on Speed Channel’s television show Pinks. It has already been confirmed that the car we are building is to race on July 20th. When the actual show airs is up to them. Yet we are confirmed to race. That is where your efforts can aid us in building our car. The car we are building to race is a crossbreed of domestic and import technology. As a result, a domestic power plant is going to be fitted inside a rear wheel drive Japanese import. The main goal of this car is a low horsepower-to-weight ratio while staying “low-tech” to keep costs under control. As the builders of this car can and have built many impressive cars. Yet, with less than two months to build and shakedown, there is little time to waste. This will keep our setup simple but effective. With time being the main factor, it has been decided to use a fuel injected small block Chevy mated to an automatic transmission. The engine will get some help from a wet nitrous kit. This will be wedged into a Nissan 240 shell. All of the items being used are proven by the builders to produce good results. Now it is time to see if the fusion of parts will return just as impressive numbers. This is where you can help us out in meeting our goal. As our project has solely been privately funded with various builders donating parts for the cause. However, there simply are not enough spare parts lying around the garages of Pittsburgh to build this car. Therefore, we ask if you would be kind enough to donate (insert part here). In exchange for your goods, we will gladly promote your company via visible stickers on our car that will be easily seen by the viewers of Pinks. sounds good sailor, I know when i sold hinson on the idea I informed him that when we win both cars will be sold and given to a charity. we probably should ad the charity part! ---

The builders of this car can and have built many impressive cars. Yet, with less than two months to build and shakedown, there is little time to waste. ---

As our project has solely been privately funded with various builders donating parts for the cause. Second sentence isn’t a complete sentence. Maybe remove period, replace with comma, and combine into one sentence. Good job! Everything I write ends up sounding like an engineering report. ---

good eye jeff. i like this rewording– Up until ths point our project has been privately funded by the builders. im sure there may be some other little errors… i wrote this up quickly last night before bed. didnt even check over it, figured you guys would.
