# Springs Question

I have heard from people that if you heat springs it will lower them. Has anyone ever tryed this?

doing that can be dangerous since it changes the spring rate that was originally intended.

id just buy some aftemarket springs…they’re cheap enough

You want to get the spring red hot, then immediatley quench it in ice cold water. Do this about a half dozen times.

Then reinstall and go find some speed bumps to run over and let us know how it works out…

Or what about spring clamps???:ohyeah:

when lowered my car I put the spring compressors on and I was about the take the springs out when I noticed that my car would sit lower if just put my stock ones back in with the spring compressors attached. it was a good find because I was able to return my after market springs - what a waste of money!!
