# SR Head Removal...

Heads coming off this weekend to be rebuilt by myself as a school project. Any tips/tricks for removal/installation on this particular engine would be greatly appreciated. A list of specs for the top end (clearances, torques, tolerences, etc) and a name for a good local parts supplier that can get things for this engine would be great also.

Get an FSM.
There’s an FAQ thread with all cross compatible parts and part numbers.
As far as removing the head, no tips or tricks, straightforward as it gets. I had mine off in about an hour or so, from the time I cracked the hood.
Is it in the car? 'cause it’s a bit of a PITA if it is, as far as the manifolds go, if it’s out of the car and you’re worried about how to do it, you probably shouldn’t be doing it 😛
