# SR20 exhaust question

when my 180 arrives my exhaust will be the first thing that changes. i was just wondering what kind of setup i should go with. i dont really want a “cat back” exhaust. ill be getting a 3 inch down pipe for sure, but should i go 3 inch turbo back exhaust with no cat etc etc. or should i only have a cat? or just a test pipe. any ideas?

You want to get the full exhaust before the downpipe… Otherwise, you are just limiting your downpipe…

If you get a cat-back, get a test pipe to eliminate the cat, which i have one for sale for 30 dollars… or you can get a full set that is long enough to downpipe and u wont need a test pipe, either way works…

You dont have to go all fancy brand name, there are many muffler shops in town that can just weld you up a 3 inch straight pipe for 100-150 dollars… or you can get a good one from bings for 450 bucks…

no less than 3 inch, as straight as possible…

I am just about to take a picture of my new exhaust and put it on the net.
