hey im new to this and i was woundering i eventually this summer wanna put an SR20DET redtop engine in my 1990 240sx it now has a Ka24 SOHC i was woundering if i need a new transmission for the SR20 ur input would help thanx guys ---

If you bought your engine from a place like Autodream or JDMsource it would already come with a tranny and most everything else needed for the swap. Now to answer your question I do believe they are the same tranny anyway, you would just need the sr20 flywheel if you wanted to for some reason keep your SOHC transmission. ---

You would also need the SR bellhousing, AFAIK. But most shops will sell the engine with the tranny. ---
