# SR20DET Identifying Question

So I’m looking into getting a standalone for my s13.  
Only problem is that, I’ve been told by the previous owner it was a S13 Redtop motor and that’s all he knew as well, no year and the ECU that came with the car when I bought it was a chipped ECU with no code sticker.

Is there any way I can tell exactly which year/ecu type it was ? Or does it not matter between redtop SRs ?  
For example I’m at the Apex’i site looking at PowerFC’s and they have a few links for different redtops.
