# SR20DET swap in a S13

Hey guys i have a couple of stupid questions i wanna do a red top swap in a s13 and i was wondering how expensive it would be…for example if i had a mint s13 and a red top with the tranny, wiring harness and computer, would i only need a intercooler, exhaust and a larger fuel pump or is there more to it like tunning…etc thanks guys

depends on how good you want your swap to be.

if you dont want to use a hose running across your engine bay then youll need a new rad and hoses. since you have the motor out then i would seriously recommend throwing in a new cluctch and tob…stuff like that

id say factor in at LEAST an extra thousand bucks into yout budget

Intercooler - u can use a stock Sr sidemount setup or buy a fmic setup.

exhaust - u need a 3" downpipe , 3" cat/testpipe , 3" exhaust to get the most out of ur SR.

Fuel pump - u need a bigger pump … walboro 255 , or u can use a 300zx , q45 or J30 fuel pump … dont bother with the sr fuel pumps as they are unreliable.

Tuning - U dont need any ATM , when u get bigger injectors , change maf etc then you need tuning.

Do some research , source all the parts yourself or u’ll end up spending $5 - $6 K on a setup u could have had for half as much.
