# sr20det swap

Ok, i have a 91 swapped in the sr, going down the highway at 110km/h the car is doing 3500 rpm in 5th. my question is i guess is this normal, not sure if it is, but just seems really high rpms.

I am running at around 3000 when doing 110. I have a 240 with a SR swap and a non-lsd rear end. I am also running the SR manual tranny.

its a 4 cylinder what did you expect??? if you dont like it get an s15 engine and tranny.

oh i know that, just wanted to make sure i wasn’t screwing something up. my old KA only ran at like 2600 at 110, 120.

drop it into fourth, and let it wang till 200km/h
the only time you need to throw it into 5th is after that.:mrgreen:

The KS tranny has different gearing. Personally if I was to blow the tranny i had now, I would swap in a KA S14 manual tranny to get the revs down a bit when going down the highway.

they are interchangable? i have 2 ka tranny’s stitting round from an s13.
