I was watching speedvision today, and on Tuner Transformation they used a ssautochrome manifold. They actually recommended it. So, to all those who think that ssautochrome is ssautocrap. That kinda proves that they are fine to buy off of, if you ask me. If they are being used on tuner shows and such on real world cars, in conjunction with products from heavythrottle and such then it’s good enough for me to buy and use. Oh and the engine they were using it on was the sr20det. ---

Exactly, any manifold will crack after 2 days if it isn’t braced correctly, a turbo, downpipe and everything else that is being supported by the manifold doesn’t help with the cracking. I also don’t buy everything I see on tv, but when it’s on a tuning show (not an infomercial), where they build skylines and s13’s, then I kinda start to think that they are a little more legit then the haters are saying. A freaking manifold is a manifold, my cousin and I have built a custom manifold for his cavalier (yeah, I know cavs suck, but having it turbo makes it a little better 🙂 ) and had no problem with them cracking and such. Anyone can make a manifold, it’s not like a turbo where it has moving parts and such, which would be more prone to failure. Oh, and the old shit they used to make is just that “shit”, consider it a learning process. Now they have the R&D to make good manifolds now. ---

GARBAGE!!! i have held both Autochrome Manifold and a Meagan one and you can feel the Megan one is much heavier and thicker than the SS one. Im not saying that bracing doesnt help but the SS manifold just doesnt have the quality of other similarily priced manifolds. ---

Hahahaha I wouldn’t take any value in anything Tuner transformations says unless it has changed since I have first watched it. The dude with long hair acting really bad, pretending to get mad to make the show dramatic or something. Worst show ever. I’d take the opinion of people who have used the product at length over a TV show. ---

I don’t care what TT says, SS autochrome stuff isn’t that great. Perhaps it isn’t bad for the s13 crowd, but the Spec V stuff they have is a joke and is the last resort for peeps that can’t afford anything better. TT sucks as well - their tuned cars are totally uninteresting. The last one I saw was on a Honda Element. Why the F would you tune a Honda Element, for christs sake. That shit belongs on “Pimp my Ride”! 😃 ---

Tv shows and car magazines always recommend products that they are getting paid to endorse, if Nismo was giving me a few hundred thousand dollars in return for advertisment you bet I would say Nismo is great, I already do, but that’s not the point. ---

So, those of you that have used ss products, you recommend megan over ss? How about obx over ss? Why is Aaron’s manifold working fine? I thought he’s pushing alot of power through his sr20det. ---
