# Stalling when warm

My car seems to be stalling when I drive it for more than an hour. It only stalls when I’m slowing down. When the rpm drops it drops really fast and it drops past 500 rpm and it stalls, doesn’t do this all the time. It seems that I’m also backfiring every so often. Some help on this would be great. Could it be timing, could it be something else?

try some things in there and see if that fixes your idle problem.

Check the TPS to make sure its still good or is even adjusted properly. I have an extra throttle body W/TPS if you need one.

Now thats where I wanted to know… The temp sensor sends the temp to the ECU, that can very well be the problem, but what I want to know is, would the temp sending unit that sends the temp to the guage have anything to do with the problem as well??

No they are separate. One wire for the gauge, teh two wire one is for the ecu. They are often, beside each other.

The ECU on is only made through Nissan. The one for the guage can be bought anywhere.

$10 for the sensor. I wasnt able to get your stuff off LeRenad because i never saw him at the show, i just saw his car parked outside.

ooooh, oh well, I’ll take that sensor off of you and try it out, its worth a shot anyway!! I can get it off of you at cali auto before we cruise down to UC on Friday.
