anyone know the difference in the GR BASIC, and GR+ coils? i know GR+ and GR+ pro are different only because of the helper springs. doesn’t really say much on the site about the comparision between GR BASIC tho. ---

i’m not clear on that yet either… i think maybe you just get monotube dampers and not inverted one… kinda like a k-sport or megan. ---

When I spoke to their tech guy he said the Basics have less agressive damping and the dampers themselves are a smaller diameter…they’re still inverted though. Also you dont get pillowball upper mounts. You get a rubber bushing. I’m pretty sure the spring rates are still 8/6 but they’re probably better equipped to handle softer springs than the GR+'s. Bing, as soon as we get a decent weekend that isn’t snowing I’ll drop by. ---

so it most likely will be a less aggressive ride than making it more comfortable. and instead of stiff, it will be a bit bouncy. id say they are towards the people who daily their car but want performance. they seem to be competing with kts, silkroad, megan, ksport coilovers. i would say performance wise they would match up to the KTS and Silkroad. not bad for a coilover that suites peoples budget. im guessing they can be had for approx $1300 CAD depending on who you get it with. ---

bushing instead of pillowball mount is weaksauce but other than that they sound like a decent bang for the buck if samsons pricing is accurate - a nice alternative to megan (who uses pillowball however) for 200 bucks more or so. ---
