# Started with a Forester now I'm here.

So I said I wanted something fun now for winter and not the Forester. That’s exactly what I did.
Picked up on Christmas Eve as a Christmas gift to myself, 2005 Subaru Legacy GT 5spd with 79,000 miles. First turbo car I’ve owned. Came with a second set of rims with 70% tread on snow tires. Could not be any happier with this.

I guess you could say that. Not sure what the specs are between the two.
Only thing disappointing about this car is that they don’t come with fold down rear seats. I’ll be in the market now for a roof rack.

It’s closer to a mix of STi WRX and Legacy. 2.5L instead of the 2.0L that a WRX would have. Other things too, but I don’t know all of it.

Miss the Remote start, but the fabric heated seats are worth it. This thing apparently comes with a windshield wiper defroster… anyone ever use this and how well they work?

It’s just a grid (like your rear defroster) that is in-layed at the base of your windshield where the wipers sit. They’ve been around forever, they work well.

Get a cargo box for your winter gear. The salt spray will just destroy your snowboard hauling it with an open air rack. I picked up my nice Thule one for $200 on craigslist.

Yeah, I was always sketchy about putting my snowboard on top of the car. Wasn’t a fan of the thought of salt all over everything.
