# starter problems

i have a 1990 240sx and the car won’t start but when i push it and jump it it works fine just want to know if it would b the starter i tapped it with a hammer and took a screwdriver to it and it sparks so it has power its just when i did that the solinoid never clicked if someone has an extra starter or if they know it is the start i would like to know thanks guys

ya man, sounds like the starter to me, i have one you can have, only used for 8 or 9 months 🙂

if you work on cars you can take the starter out and get the contacts plunger and something else I forgot replaced at a starter shop. It costed me $20 for parts but mind you this was for my supra.
