whats the deal with the State Game Lands Shooting Ranges? Does anybody know anything about it? Seems that most of them are “Closed Till Further Notice” and without any explanation. Well anyways where else is there to empty off a few rounds in my area? And if possible public ranges? ---

all public ranges (pistol/rifle) are closed for cleaning up of lead, shells, etc…no idea when they will be re-opened. ---

the sign at the wexford range said it would reopen sept 1st… not sure if that has happened ---

it was closed on Sunday the 2nd thats when i went out, and the website still says closed, i just got my sig back, with some new internal mods, im anxious to fire it.:reloading ---

If you feel like following the Red Belt out to Tarentum and heading into Natrona Heights, there’s a shooting range less than a mile from my house nestled in the woods. ---

i heard on the radio something about how no 1 can buy a guy or get a permit this past weekend because i guess they were updating the software for registration…not sure if that has ne thing 2 do with it???i have no idea about nething that has to do with guns… ---

the only range i use is the one out past ligonier in laughlintown on rt 30. its the closest public range near me at 45min driving time. it was closed down and they are digging up the place. they got a big bucket dozer in there with many piles of dirt stacked around…not sure what the hell they are doing but i hope they get it done soooon. i want to shoot so bad. And yes, PA is updating the background checking program. it will take 90 hrs or so to do. There is no backup plan in action so all gun sales are on hold for 90 hrs. I have heard it started September 2 but i’m not sure. it sucks but i dont need any more new guns ---

There is also a range in Youngwood about a 1/2 mile from Hybrid. I was there in the winter. Dunno if it’s opened or closed though. ---
