# Steering rack pissing fluid

The one bolt on the top of my steering rack keeps pissing fluid, ive tried re aranging the washers to see if i could get a better seal( 2 on top, 2 on bottom, 1 top 1 bottom, 2 top 1 bottom) but no luck…shold i get a rubber washer or somthing? it comes wioth brass washers, i dont know if they just gotthinned out or somthing? gota have the car, i got school in an hr.

Should be copper washers. You can get them at any auto parts store. Bring and old one w/ you for size comparison. Also make sure it’s not a hose crimp leaking. It’s pretty uncommon for the washers to go “bad”

i made a rubber washer out of a rubber pond lining (40 mil) and put that with the other washer to help seal it, unfortunatly the fucker is kicking my ass and wont line up so ive been trying to get the god damn bolt in for 45 min now and got nothing…im gona torch this fucker. I HATE HYDROLIC LINES!!!

The steering rack was swapped from another car and they weren’t replaced, so technically they would need to be.
