> Police said the driver, identified as Roy Morales, was traveling about 90 miles per hour on Avenue R around 2 a.m. when he missed a turn and left the roadway.

> The blue sports car went up a railroad track embankment and launched about 100 feet before it crashed through the roof of Gulf Coast Aerobic Services in the 13200 block of Highway 6.

> “Apparently it wasn’t a nightmare that I had,” said Michael Robinson, who owns the business. “We were here all night dealing with this.”

> Police said Morales, 20, got out of the vehicle and fled the scene before police arrived.

> Detectives said Morales called police hours later to report a stolen car. After questioning, Morales confessed to crash the car. He faces potential reckless driving and false report charges.

> Authorities estimated the damage around $25,000.

> “We’re actually fortunate,” Robinson said.

> Though his business will be closed for the next week, Robinson is counting blessings. He is happy no one, including Morales, suffered injury.
