They really do a great job setting these cars up to get down the track. It amazes me really how bad the domestic manual trans guys struggle to get a solid et when the evos/supras of the world can make it happen no problem.

what does domestic have to do with anything? supras have the exact same issue as vettes.

There are many more domestic cars built with an auto platform to net a quicker et.
Vettes don’t run nearly as quick as Supras with a manual that I am aware of. But Vipers do. I would think they are capable just more guys on the domestic side built auto cars was my point.

supras just have the unique factor. I bet for ever 1 supra that runs a 10 or better there are 10 corvettes doing the same timeslip. I just did a quick google and found a thread from 2010 where 6spd street Z06 record was like 9.45 w/ just Heads cam 150 shot.
I hear you on the “build an auto is smarter” argument.
