So i experimented over the weekend with my stock BOV, since its a recirculating BOV i thought i’d try taking the hose off, blocking the intake side and making it “blow” into the atmosphere!! but i got no boost??? any one know why?? obviously it doesnt work like any other aftermarket BOV.

Because its not a blow off valve, its a bypass valve.

I have done this before just for experiiment… and it does work. I think you have probably caused an intake leak somewhere… or you released the wrong hose 🙂
