I’m thinking about picking up a stud welder for pulling dents. Anyone have any suggestions? I know harbor freight has them for like $120, anyone ever use one of theirs? I just don’t want to go and spend that much if it sucks.

Why not just buy a bunch bolts that fit the dent puller and just tack the bolts to the said panel then screw the puller on ?

The one at harbor freight is ok. The welder part is good but the slide hammer sucks. After a few times it slips off the studs almost every time

oh ok, so then i’d need a different slide hammer, that’s not too bad, i wouldn’t be using the thing every day or even every week, just a tool i’d like to add to the set.
