alright… i want to find out where Sallie Mae is, and kill someone. i won’t even begin to start the story of why… anyone with loans through them know. how do i get rid of them other than pay them off (i don’t have $20k to do that) can i refinance through someone else somehow? there seems to be some financial types on here who might have the info to free me from these chains… either that or i have to get a flight to India. ---

no… cannot login to pay my bill b/c their website says my address is invalid and i’ve been hung up on going on 6 times by indians. (the durka durka indians) oh wait, i just got hung up on AGAIN. every 6 months or so i fight with them for about a week trying to pay my bill b/c they find some excuse why i can’t login. ---

Refinance away from sallie mae. They are a terrible company to deal with. Right out of school, I wasn’t working, and had to defer my loans for a 6 month period. I had like 4 different loans with them, they charged me 150 dollars per loan to defer the loans, it was just a surcharge, not interest or anything. I refinanced my public loans with Great Lakes, they have been excellent. I refinanced my private loans with Citi, they have been less than stellar, but not as bad as sallie mae. ---

Sallie is fucking the worst, I have a shit load of money from flight school I owe them, like you said, any deference is a nightmare. The interest rate has come down, although still way way higher than any federal student loan. And NOWHERE will touch mine because it is Private, even though it was used on all schooling costs… also won’t let me extend my terms, I’m pretty much paying a house mortgage… and citi I don’t think will touch my private loans either, but may try them. ---

Citi refinanced my private loans. They were one of the few who would touch that loan… Mine is similar to a new Lexus payment. ---

bills are bills… i pay them month after month, and then nearly every 6 months something stupid happens, login fails, password mysteriously changes, my address comes up invalid (i own the house…) always something… ---
