# Student looking for car

He’s 6’, 300 lb, 18, and his mom is buying him a car for commuting to college in the fall.

What I know so far is:

- doesn’t fit in a Civic, Eclipse, Tiburon, Saturn, Scion tc
- fits in PT Cruiser, HHR, Caliber (hates them, but can tolerate the Caliber)
- price around $18K
- stepdad gets GM discount
- they aren’t car people so reliability would be a plus

Really likes the Mustang and Charger but he isn’t paying the insurance!

Any ideas on what mystery car would work?

L series saturn…  
G6 very nice car. and kinda inexpensive… GM discount

EDIT: i hope he is going for football also.

I’ve found '03-'04 Accords in that range and G6s with 11K miles for $17K.

Grand Prix?  
Silverado?  
older supercharged monte ss?

Tell him he would be better off staying with GM if his dad gets the discount. he will be able to get a tad nicer car for the price.

Not sure about the insurance on those for 18 though. I saw that Wright has a red Grand Prix that’s in that range.
