I don’t remember ever seeing one thread from you asking about the passat and any known problems. I could have listed atleast a few of the problems you are currently trying to fix. You didn’t quote me, but I also never said how great vw’s are. Their performance abilities don’t compare to most asian makes. The biggest mistake I ever made was doing the engine swap and turbo. I do feel that vw’s are less common, and have better interiors. You don’t feel like you are in a tin can. Its an issue of “to each, his own”, and a different style when it comes to vw’s vs. honda, Mitsu, Subaru, etc. Their reliability also lacks as they age. Wiring on pre '94 cars is horrible and door mechanism’s wear out. If I wanted a car that I could get in, drive for 200,000 with only reliability in mind, I’d buy a civic or a corolla. But there is more to it than that for me. I think you already are, but if you haven’t been on [vwvortex.com](http://vwvortex.com) searching for answers, you should. You bought a 10 yr. old car with how many miles on it?, for cheap.
