I don’t understand why people hate on Hyundai. Just cause they have been considered to be “knockoff” or “shit”. Hyundai has come along way, the genesis is just the start. Im not saying I like hyundai’s, but if you don’t like them doesnt mean everybody feels the same way. Sometimes you just need to keep things to yourself. ---

That’s the thing, I don’t understand the hate either. Hyundai is doing something that no one else is willing to. Nissan talked about a cheap RWD car, Toyota & Subie talked about one, but to this day I SEE NOTHING. Don’t get me wrong, the 370Z is a fantastic car, that goes up against the likes of the Cayman S which is double the price, but it’s still 44,000 (including the sport pack that gives you the BBK, forged wheels, etc… and you’re a homo if you don’t get it) Honda wants $50,600 for the S2000, which although is a great car, it’s overpriced as shit. I’ll buy one, but I’ll buy it used, for under 20k. Then you have Mazda, that sells a slow, unreliable heap of a car for 40K. Personally, I’d rather have a Gen Coupe than an RX-8, even if they were the same price. How dirty cheap the Gen Coupe is, is just icing on the cake. People were whining like little bitches after the demise of the 240 about how no one makes a cheap, RWD, factory turbo car. Hyundai steps up in a HUGE way, gives you that, plus throws in a factory torsen diff and a BBK, and the SAME people have the nerve to bitch that it’s not JDM tyte. It’s KDM tyte, get over yourselves. Hyundai made EXACTLY what keyboard jockeys on forums were begging for, for YEARS. Search through any car forum, this one included, go like 4-5 years back, and look at what people always bitch about. It’s like Hyundai had someone go and check, and then make exactly that. How can you complain?? This is what you wanted. YOU asked for this car. Now you’re calling it gay? ---

Nicely put Solarian. People don’t give it a chance, just cause its badged as a Hyundai. I bet if nissan released the same car for the same price people would go crazy over it. OMG factory turbo, RWD OMG JDM TYTE YO. Its just like clothing if something says walmart but is the same thing as a Lacoste golf shirt. People would instantly turn their noses at it. ---

that video does nothing for me I want to see a comparison video of the genesis against the honda civic si, saturn sky, and mazda speed, vehicles that are actually its rival… p.s… a $10 manual boost controller would have changed the outcome of that race… so stop laughing and saying i told u so ---

Wow, I just watched that vid… The 370Z is seriously quick! 0-60 in 4.7s is the exact same time that the new 911 gets, and 4.5s for the 911S. ---

This sounds like a guy that thinks that his 17 year old 240sx is better than anything out there. Hyundai Genesis is a great car in my opinion. Looks good seems to perform well, pretty cheap, what else could you ask for? I think it is a great buy from an outside view. - in all honesty i have cut people off in my 240sx, so ye your just probaly a little to stereotypical. Kinda like all asians drive bad. Hell there some of the best drifters. ---
