The other day i was just letting the car run and it was pretty hot outside. The Rad was full of water, but no fan was installed. Not thinking that the engine would get hot really fast i left the car running for a bit. As i was letting idle i reved it a few times, and then suddenly the car starts “sputtering”. It was making intermittent puffs of black smoke. Followed was a very rough idle causing the engine to rattle. The headgasket is fine because i dont see any oil in the water and no water in the oil. So im confused why such an abrupt problem?and wat causingit? ---

did you do a compression test yet? happened to my ka-t, one of my injectors was sticking. ---

ya the only reason why i did a compression test was because i first thought it was a valve not sealing proper. but i got 180 all across. then i narrowed it down to a injector cause cyl 3 was spewing out fuel from the turbo manifold. so i switched it with the cyl 2 injector and then the 3rd one was ok, and the 2nd one got fucked. ---

looks like it was maf or fouled plugs… ?:S cleaned the plugs, and disconnected the maf and ran fine… ---

Where are you located? I have a few spare sohc maf sensors sitting around that you can try
