# Supercar Block Party 12/9/11

A pretty well organized get together which included a good cruise to a local Lamborghini Dealership where we all met and were given a police escort into the city. An entire block was closed off to park the cars and complete with a DJ and dancefloor in the middle of the street. Pretty cool show setup with some HOT cars.
In total there were about 50 cars. enjoy.
The same guy owns the Carrera GT, Mosler MT900s, and the Ford GT… all 3 cars were taken to the venue which involed a nice cruise.
for being 85% race car, the Carrera GT is VERY comfortable.
we were trailed by cops for most of the 30 mile cruise…waiting for somebody to do something stupid.

yeah, i couldn’t figure it out either. There were a couple sleeper’s there and was wondering if it may have had some extensive work done under the hood, but never talked with the owner. It likely was stock though.
The owner of the SLR claimed to have a compound turbo and supercharger setup, but refused to open the hood because it wasn’t visible.

also that world record holding twin turbo Ford GT was there, the one that ran a 267mph in the mile. LOUD AS FUCK!

^haha… i catch the sarcasm, but it was kinda shitty for Palm Beach. it was cloudy and had rained early in the afternoon which scared off about 25 cars that were in. Including the new Lexus LFA and a couple Buggati’s that i was really looking forward to see on the road in person. But the rain held off and it was about 75\*F and beautiful the entire evening.

the SL 500 is no joke. It’s a twin turbo with RennTech bolt-ons and dynoed 763whp and 709ft-lbs…but it didn’t stand a chance. The GT dusted it …the 8200rpm redline gets the motor screaming in your ear behind you.

If that SL had twin turbos in it im guessing it was a 600. Its hard to tell but it looks to say V12 on the side which would make it a 600. The 500s are slowwww. I want to move up to the V12 biturbo eventually they can be had for about 20k! Oh and with renntech work im sure it was still a beast.
