> Thats kind of what I was thinking too, the lack of aerodynamics and gearing will prevent you from doing 100+ MPH bombs, the bike will do it but probably holding on is another story lol. And like you said, insurance in theory should be less.

> My logic is that a supermoto should be more forgiving with the quality of roads around this area as opposed to a superbike. If I have to go down a dirt road I think I would feel more comfortable on a 'tard than a Ducati 848 haha.

> I really like the Aprilia SXV 5.5. You can buy an optional 12 liter fuel tank (roughly 3.2 gallons) to replace the 2 gallon tank that comes with the bike, that might give me a few extra miles before hitting the next gas station.

To be honest, if you want a SuMo, then get a SuMo; You don’t need to find a way to justifiy yourself of getting one. All the lack of aero and gearing preventing you from speeding, IMO, is just nonsense.

Get a bike you like and you can afford, respect your body by wearing gear, don’t go too crazy on public roads and have fun. Unless you know how to fly, riding will be the closest thing next to it. Enjoy! :thumbup
