# Surface rust

Is there some type of product that gets rid of surface rust on a trailer hitch? Something that comes in a can and is clear? I went to Harbor Freight and got some surface rust removal but the product needs to soak in it for a few days. I placed the non welded parts in that and everything turned out great. Just wondering how should I tackle the unit itself.
