# Surround sound issues (&HDMI)

if you want true 5.1 channel surround sound you cant use the red and white rca cables, they are analog and do not transmit the 5.1 surround sound.

digital coax and digital optical are the only two that carry the true 5.1 signal

you can also find optical switches
