To get started, ever since we occupied Afghanistan, opium harvests and heroin production have sky rocketed there. They still grow more than 90% of the world’s illegal opium poppies, the source of heroin. We need to invent a drug that is the equivalent of russian roulette. Hell of a rush for up to 5 tries but guaranteed to remove you from society on the 6th try. And hey, maybe society gets lucky and you’re gone on the first hit. ---

i wouldnt count that out, however, US produced goods cost way more than the guns that are already made in the middle east. there is a documentary online where this journalist went into some crazy mountain city over there and little children were assembling hand guns in huts. Blind dudes too. It was the primary industry in the town, the assembly of fire arms. the shooting range was on top of a building in the city where they fired into the air… wait… is this the all that is man thread? ---

Sometimes i forget how uninformed the US population really is. here are some facts: 1)we pay everyone over there for everything. ex. A us soldier arrests a bad guy and he doesn’t get convicted bacause there isn’t enough evidence he get’s paid a few hundred and goes on his merry way to set up another IED 2)almost every official in afghanistan is corrupt. ex. the afghani govenor in my AO got very upset we had our COPs (civil order police) bust up a suicide vest ring. Why? because he was getting money to pretect it. 1. If by chance an official is not corrupt. he works in favor of his region/clan/area/people/family EX. the curremt (i think his title is) commander of the afghani armed forces. He was also in charge under russian and birtish control. He’s always worked to help his won family out over the good of the country. 2. the right hand has no clue what anyone else is doing in afghanistan. ex. there are so many diffrent groups (govenments/agencies within govenments etc. etc.) that everyone is kind of on their own doign their own thing. the CIA works undermines the army. the US SOG work undermines the french armys work. The group of pissed off marines who slaughtered an entire village because 3 of their men died undermines the general goal of everyone. That’s just the tip of the ice burg. I’m sure some of the other vets on here have some stories themselves. The only thing these people understand are bribes and death. Death’s lesson lasts much longer on their minds but it’s messier. Money is something the CIA can throw at a problem and make it go away for a while. ---

Cold war surplus is MUCH cheaper and much more accessable. Plus how would it look if old M16a2s were in the hands of teliban. You would NEVER see it. ---
