cliffs - the US gov prints money to buy shit even though they can’t afford it. We all get fucked because the dollar isn’t worth the paper it’s printed on.

Also found an interesting read about economic conditions from a gold writer.

He’s a bit extreme in some aspects, but “what-if”. Some of the things he’s saying are true, and some of the conclusions seem plausible enough.

Here’s a (conspiracy theory 🙂 )thought. What if the US Government is intentionally crashing the dollar so 1 loony = 1 dollar = 10 Mexican pesos, then NAU will have a currency standard to round off upon. Then, 2 NAU Dollar = 1 Euro and then they’ll stabilize that and we’ll have a OWRuro (aka the RutRo).

I was just reading this article:

Gold and Economic Freedom - by Greenspan

Never really thought about it before.

> In the absence of the gold standard, there is no way to protect savings from confiscation through inflation. There is no safe store of value. If there were, the government would have to make its holding illegal, as was done in the case of gold. If everyone decided, for example, to convert all his bank deposits to silver or copper or any other good, and thereafter declined to accept checks as payment for goods, bank deposits would lose their purchasing power and government-created bank credit would be worthless as a claim on goods. The financial policy of the welfare state requires that there be no way for the owners of wealth to protect themselves.

Yup, this is what I implied earlier in this thread. The “greatest” head of the Fed admitting his shell game long before he ever came to the forefront.

The Dow isn’t looking too strong. I think the NAU/Amero world government idea isn’t too far off.
