# sway bar advise?

hey guys
its been a long time coming and have decided to get some sway bars…
im thinking progress or whiteline.
whiteline has so many choices in sizes and adjustablity
and progress only have 27mm front
and 22mm rear both have 3 holes to make it stiffer or looser so basicly im asking the best way to set it up for 'GRIP ’
like for example stiffest front stiffest rear
or middle front and loosest rear or whatever…
any educated info would be great thanks

sway bars are only part of the equation.
springs, dampers, tires, wheels alignment, tracks, rain or dry are also needed info to answer your question

Talk to Scott at can alignment. He will set you up and help you out. Great guy and definitely knows what he’s doing.

full megan coilovers
full megan multi link
front rear strut bars
dunlop star spec 235/45/17 front (street)
" " 255/40/17 rear (street)
Yokohama Advan A032R 235/40/17 all around (track)
not 100% sure of the alignment had it done awhile ago…
im making 406hp just under 300tq to the wheels on 94 octane.

Why don’t you go try some settings and see which works better for you on track? Not something the bench racers will be able to tell you

grip set up for a car that would overssteers before understeer would be softer in the rear, stiffer in the front, for a very general guide line. Larger diameter is stiffer, more torque in the sway bar, assuming material and length are constant. Your spring rates and corner weights of your car will also effect how stiff you want them.

My brother and I don’t even run rear sway bars on our oval cars. Seems to eliminate understeer.
