^ I’m hoping/assuming that’s the cost without the actual motorset… Any pics of your work? $800 is quite a bit under par…

Hi

Yes that is the price of the swap not including the motorset. What 800$ gets you is all labor for a stock sr20det installed including new spark plugs, all fluids, hose, and the motor running great in your car. 800$ is our special price as we get our consumer base to grow and allow us to get our name out to the
community.

Or maybe you’re just used to the overcharged price everyone pays?

$800 is actually very reasonable, but we’re just accustomed to the $1000-1500 people have been charging.

I agree… $800 sounds reasonable…most people overcharged.

</div>

^Oh I didn’t think it was “too cheap”, I agree motorswaps are overcharged, but when you’re way under the average it begs the question.

$800 for labour on a swap is just about right, considering how long it actually takes to do the swap. But considering we know the standard with guys like SG and Intense, and this is way under their pricing, it’s worth it to see if they have the same level of detail or if there’re some sacrifices made with the reflection in pricing… And if they’re producing the same results, it’d be worth their while to review their pricing.

I can vouch for the boys at Sydney Auto. I was there when they fixed R33’s idling problem and was watching them work on another 240sx that was in the shop. They definitely know their way around S and R chassis Nissans.

Give it a year and sr swaps will be a couple hundred bux. If you’ve done enough swaps, u get it down to an exact science and it takes only a few hours. I’ve seen 2 guys do a full swap without a hoist b4 lunch. Its all about gettn all ur ducks in a row so ur not fumblin around for all the little shit at the last min. But anyways 800 bucks is a good price for the general public for an sr swap seeing as how all fluids, hose, spark plugs, filters etc can be 100+ and u get to put the onus on someone else is somethin fuks up lol.
