# Syracuse guys step in..mechanic suggestions

Well I’ve just moved to Camillus now and would like to get some suggestions of good shops or mechanics in the area just so I know who to go to in the event I need some car maintenance done. So anybody from Syracuse or the surrounding areas that have suggestions, please let me know. I’d rather not have to find out by trial and error :meh: Thanks in advance!

I have a lot of family in Syracuse and even in Camillus. I lived there until age 7 over by shove park, and my grandmother used to live on Locust Ln. off of Genesee St.
Anyhow, I have purchased several vehicles from Tobin’s Garage, and had lots of service there. Most of my family uses them as well. There are a couple other places that my brother uses, but it is too late for me to call him. If I remember I will give him a ring tomorrow.

I live right outside of Camillus and work at a local car dealership as a mechanic/slave in the summer. So, I am obviously partial to our service department. A lot of great techs that I would/have let work on my cars many times for stuff that is over my head. What do you drive?

I drive a 98 Civic sedan. My girlfriend currently drives a 2000 Passat but I think she’ll be looking to switch it up soon. Where do you work?

My friend’s father owns a place called Daveco performance. He does great work at reasonable prices.

Take this guys recommendation, he is smarter than most of this board.
