# T/A head light motor

hey has anyone with a trans am or something like that had this problem when ever i turn my head lights off the motor like keeps spinning and makes this god awful grinding noise the stock one did it and the i replaced it with a used one from ebay and now this ones doin it to does that mean the motors done and must be replaced or can it be fixed???

seems like all firebirds have problems with the headlights 😕 a lot of vettes too.

id say, yes, motor needs to be replaced

Search on [cz28.com](http://cz28.com) for brass headlight; Someone on there makes a fixed amount of brass gears to replace the stripped plastic ones like is broken in your headlight. He does like 200 gears a year or something. I’ve seen them listed on ebay as well, but I know the ones from the guy on [CZ28.com](http://CZ28.com) are excellent quality, and the guy is very very well respected there.
