ill try to be the voice of reason instead of the fuck every grirl who walks scenario. There are three questions you have to ask yourself. 1. do you her 2. are you willing to do anything for her 3. is it worth it of course you arent goin to change over night but if the answer to all those questions is yes then you need to find a way make a few changes about yourself moving to itahca isnt so bad its a growing area an u can go to suny cortland or something girls always want romance every now an then so just be romantic a few times an you’ll be golden. If you dont think its worth it etc. you said your in college find a girl in one of your classes an just start talking about school or wateva an go from there. It sucks because her reasoning is bullshit. She’s afraid to just say what she really feels: “She wants out” so she’s trying to put it on you for not graduating with her, taking her on dates, or move to fucking Ithaca in case she wants to go to Cornell to be a vet tech. Hello McFly? You only need a 2 year degree to be a vet tech, and it certainly doesn’t have to be at Cornell. It’s not your fault dude. She’s done, which is fine. Sometimes shit just doesn’t work. It just sucks that she can’t suck it up and say that, but rather tries to put it on you. It sucks that that’s how she’s ending it, but whatever. There’s no “good” way to end an 8 year relationship. Time heals all wounds. I’m sure it was good while it lasted. Move forward. ---

[/quote] wow yes, your 100% right, i didn’t realize this for a couple weeks afterward and i found out all the other stuff that was going on, then it all made sense and was a lot easier to deal with she just doesn’t have the balls for whatever reason to up and tell you what her plans are, not fair to you to sit around and wait for her, go out and have fun man ---

i’m not reading this whole thread. i went through a similar situation a few years ago. actually it was the exact same situation. only we had been dating 4 years, not 8. at the time i was pretty upset, but a week later i got drunk and banged a quasi-fatty. i then pulled myself out of the slump and whored myself out to many girls. i had the time of my life. then i met a chick who was a billion times better than my ex. we went through some hard times together. it is now 2 years (almost to the day) and we are still together and happy. i’m 100% better off than i was. if you want, we’ll meet up for lunch, my treat, and i’ll show you the light. ---

Don’t burn bridges. You’ll never be with her again, but you’ll be happy being able to look back knowing that you left with class when she was afraid to tell it straight. And that’s not to totally bash her. It’d be scary as hell to end something you’ve had for eight years, but it’s also unfair to put it on you. Whatever. Shitty situation with no “good” way out.
