Some memorable moments from that thread haha I’m going to hell: -I worked a special day camp for special needs kids. I was paired with one who constantly grabbed girls butts and asked to tickle their feet. He literally spent the entire week groping and chasing girls. It was awesome. -sixth grade teacher stops her lecture mid sentence looks to the tard in back of the class and says you need to stop that everyone turns to look tad continues his fap session - \>Halloween \>Lady dressed as clown is handing out free candy from a plastic bucket \>Retard in superman costume approaches cautiously, stares at her \>Retard’s mother says “It’s okay” \>Retard runs up to clown and shouts “CLOWN! GIMME SOME CANDY!”, grabs the bucket, and runs away with it. \>True story, I watched it happen in 8th grade -9th grade \>history \>teacher is talking about his kid’s babysitter \>tard says I would never watch your kids \>teacher says I would never let you watch my kids \>tard says good, “cause I would kill them.” ---

You guys are so immature. I take serious offense to the word “retard.” During the summer I work in a special needs group at a local summer camp. “Retard” is a very hurtful and distasteful term. The politically correct expression is “mentally disabled.” ---

I thought it was mentally handicapped or mentally challenged? Real talk: Do you get upset when someone mentions that they had to “retard” their ignition timing? Honestly, though. I don’t see how saying “mentally disabled” is any less offensive. That’s like saying that I am less offended by being called “metabolically disabled” or “thermogenically challenged”. The proper way to refer to someone suffering from mental retardation would be to refer to them as one with “special needs” or an “intellectual disability”. Seriously though props to you for helping out with kids like that. While I’m no saint and will admit I got a few laughs out of that thread, I just can’t imagine what it would be like to go through life like that.
