Thick enough.

I was hoping it would be a post showing the headlights just above the waterline. 🙂 Hope it doesn’t ever drop in. That’s some nasty ass water under there.

Unknown. Pond is 5’, max. Not even a crack or pop when I drove on. Gotta be at least 2’ thick.

Yeah, we’re going to be doing some major cleanup starting April. It is pretty funky, despite being spring-fed.

Nice. I have no idea how deep my pond is or how thick the ice is. The deer haven’t fallen through yet. I’d love to know if I could skate on it.

I’m pretty serious about this. Now, disclaimer…I’ve ice skated once in my life. So, happy to host, but won’t be participating. Also, I don’t have a snowblower, so would need a few hands on deck to clear snow before we did this. I’ll keep an eye on weather and maybe put something together in a couple of weeks.

Well cool…not a bad amount of interest in a short amount of time. I’ll get on some preparations.

I suppose I’ll ask now if Saturdays or Sundays are better for folks.  
Also, I’m sure it would be obvious, but nets and shit will have to be brought in.

I’ve also got a decent-sized Weber grill that I can pull out (I’ll need a hand with this), and I’ll have a fire going on the shore, sort of like this
