yeap, for shitty headfones with the 90 degree bend, plugging into something where it would hit, thus rendering it useless

It’s an extension for those cords that are 1/4" too short.

I can think of a use for it. You have something that you constantly plug and unplug. Install that adapter and now you wear out an easily replaceable .99 adapter instead of a difficult to replace jack on an expensive component.

Now I’m tempted to get one of these in fact, because the jack on my $40 xbox 360 wireless controller is starting to wear out from constantly plugging/unplugging the headset.
