I’m sure your “super cool” mazda 3 and miata are really something to brag about (Which I’m sure as a whole are worth LESS than the e55) I don’t know many people my age who have 20k to throw around at will while still having money for insurance, rent, college and have a start on a house. Mind you i OWN this car, not make payments on it. So yeah, call it a status symbol. It’s not about the money I spent but the work I put into doing the things I have done and enjoying them. Not for your enjoyment, but for mine. So don’t start shit unless you have something of significance to say, other than being a prick. ---

Meh, I’d be damn happy to own a 20k car at 19. I mean shit, the most expensive car I’ve had was an $8,000 Eclipse Spyder and even that I had payments on. I don’t see why everyone is getting all whiny and turning into dicks because of this, he worked his ass off to get a very nice car, IMO. Haters gonna hate. ---

I was just wondering if buying an E55 AMG was getting somewhere. I would rather have the car payments as cash is worth more today than in 30 years. Would have been better off tossing that 20 large into mortgage and having a lien against the benz if you can get a decent rate. Which can be hard as fuck at 19 due to a lack of credit which will also continue to be an issue with a mortgage… I was hoping you invented an Iphone app/struck oil/doing porn or something awesome and got to this point. ---

Thanks everyone for understanding what I was trying to say to begin with. I like the car it’s fun to drive and is comfortable as shit and I do NOT car what its worth It’s not something I show off. When I said, “Get me where I am now” it was the 24 individual car transactions and stories behind each one of them that lead up to this car. It took a lot of work and time. That is all I meant. My point is that don’t come in here arguing status. I don’t want to hear the “Oh well I have a house, or I finanaced this BS” Because that’s not what this was about. I have credit. I’ve had a credit card and have done 2 automotive loans before in my life which I have since paid off in full (Just to work on my credit score) I could have got the Benz finance for 48 months at 6%. Which is as about as good as it gets for a 8 year old car with 70,000 on it. I chose NOT to because i wanted my line of credit clear for when I do apply for my mortgage over the summer for my house. A car loan also makes it hard to flip the car. Who the fuck finances an 8 year old car with that many miles on it unless it’s for only a couple thousand anyways? Financing blows unless it’s a brand new car. Or one you really really want and can’t afford. That last joke was so funny. Ha. ---
