I like Seth Rogan and James Franco, but I wasn’t overly excited for this movie to begin with. No doubt, it took some balls to make this movie, but I don’t think that Sony ever thought they would get hacked over this…

Are you kidding? Could you imagine the lawsuits that would happen if anything were to happen? Think of the risk/reward. They release the movie and make what, 3 (10 million max) assuming this is added press and get sued for much much more if anything were to happen. It doesn’t even have to be North Korea fulling their threat. It could be anyone shooting up a theater like in CO that would leave them in court paying out millions of dollars.

There are threats made against Twitter, Google, and a number of other business on a regular basis that don’t impact anything or cause a change in their behavior.

I doubt its credible too but your image is already destroyed by this. Why make it worse and just eat the 3 million you would have made and move on.

The precedent this sets for enterprises in America is extremely bad.
It’s also not eating 3 million the movie budget was 44 million.

The hackers won? The fucking terrorists are winning. This is fucking bananas and we all should be 1000 times more scared about this type of reaction to a threat than we should be of actually being a victim of terrorism.
