in India the swastika doesn’t mean the same thing it does in the rest of the world. ---

Our very own Buffalo City hall has markings of the swastika on the ceiling, its origin dating back to the Senecas who viewed it as a symbol of peace. Some of these markings have been ‘erased’, however a few are left in tact. ---

^^This. The “Swastica” as it became known by, used to be the buddhist symbol for peace. The Nazi political party perverted it and adopted it as their own… ---
