ok, there’s a ton of threads out there dealing with various insurance company policies, 19a forms, underwriting, etc. i say we put all that info in one thread. only cold hard facts should be added though, this should cut down on the 1000’s of “they want to inspect my car, help!!” threads. also if anyone has previous experience with fully disclosing engine mods and other performance aspects of their car to obtain a policy, please, share them here. as i’m sure we’re all curious to know what the process is

first of all, if you lie on your application, you **WILL** be canceled if they find out. no if’s, ands, or buts about it.

maybe i will make use of this after all.

Just switched to belair and they want me to get my car safetied beforethey insure it…WTF IS THIS? This is unheard of. They said because its an older car and that was it.(its been sitting as ive been driving my other car thats why it isnt safetied yet.)

I’m also using belair, they made me do an appraisal before I could get collision and comprehensive, no problems with them so far though.

an appraisal is one thing, but the car needs to be safetied for me to get coverage.
