Its not too hard. I have a ebook on it if you want. If you look at the links, its just quicktime videos that are converted. It would be simple to do if you had the time and urge to convert videos to quicktime to post.

Ya getting into it a bit since I build some web based business systems on the side that are database apps so I think it would be cool to have a iphone portal for them.

I did want to learn to write native apps but dont have the hardware and setup to get the toolchain right now so I will stick with some useful web ones now.

I gotta wait till I get home but I will shoot you over the book tonight. its written around the original iphone i believe but still the same funcionality in the web browser pretty much.

I dont know if it will run. I have a AMD Athlon 64 desktop with only a gig of RAM and IDE hard drives.

Any experience in that?

I know for a fact that you can, you just need to use one of the hacked kernels (certainly not as straight forward as an intel chip though). Shouldn’t be too tough to figure out. If you have a core2 desktop/laptop laying around, you can use the vanilla kernel.

I wish. I only have a older desktop that I use for basic stuff. I need to upgrade in a few months but not ready to dump a grand on a laptop yet.

I will give it a shot. I havent done much research on installing it but I am interested to see how it runs.

is it a resource hog or will it run pretty smooth.

New firmware 2.0.2 blows. I used to have Safari and other applications just crash and exit out but holy fuck. Websites can crash my whole phone now instead of just the application.

Fucking awesome.

At least the No Service -\> Service transition is better but still holds on to 3G for the life if itself before it goes to EDGE which kinda blows. Personally, if I at 1 bar of 3G and trying to make a call, give me EDGE at 5 bars

thats odd. I haven’t had any problem with 2.0.2 yet (minus those associated with jailbreaking)

maybe hardware difference from the 1st gen to 2nd gen?

Android preview. October 13th apparently and supposed to have their own version of the AppStore

IMO that phone is ugly as shit. At least there is going to be some competition for the iPhone which could spark more development by Apple and maybe laying off on their nazi SDK rules.

It’s T-Mobile tho.

iPhone is cool and works almost everywhere.

Android phone is cool and works only standing next to the tower.

Honestly, I can see Android coming to the iPhone in a year.
