NEw firmware 2.0.1 is out…
sync your iphone to itunes to get it… but it takes ~ 1 hour er so to do

Yay Apple! I installed the 2.0.1 firmware update and now none of my downloaded apps work. I uninstalled one and reinstalled it which got it working, but doing that for all my downloads is a PITA.

Good idea? I figure that so many people have this damn thing that there will be enough to talk about.
Talk about apps you’ve tried and what you think about them. Whether or not they are worth it and so on.
Try to keep it in the same format:
“Name of Program” - Price
Description
first one
“speed” - Free
It’s just a gauge that uses GPS to tell you how fast your going, but it doesn’t seem to be very accurate, and has a subsantial delay. It’s free however, so it’s something to play with at least.

Did you jailbreak your phone? The upgrade to 2.0.1 breaks the jailbreak.
If not just resync your phone. It’s not that hard.

Dynolicious 9/10 … well worth the $$$
Poker (by Apple) 8/10… great game for the shitter, especially for the price
AquaForest 5/10… boring. Thought it was going to be something different than it was. The phone can’t handle the physics calculations it’s trying to make and plunges into the realm of 2-3fps

Ebay is pretty self explanatory. I can say that it is much more usable than going through safari to the actual website. It has no background functionality though (neither do other apps) so no alerts to your phone about auctions except regular email.
Bloomberg is great for following the market and news in general. Mostly business oriented.
SportsTap is a nice app that pulls scores and status from a pretty wide range of events/leagues. MLB NFL NBA NHL NCAA Auto AFL PGA
LPGA (\<–who?) Tennis Soccer 08 Olympics etc…
Remote is great for controlling your iTunes remotely anywhere in range of your wifi. Ex. set up your stereo to iTunes and change songs while on your porch or whatever.
WeatherBug is great for keeping out from under the rainclouds.

Apparently, you can unlock it, but can’t use it on anything other than AT&T. For the 3G version that is. But i’m sure something will come around that lets you do it.

No jailbreak here.
2.0.1 is not the turn by turn update. 2.0.1 is just a bugfix for the big 2.0 rollout.
Contacts are accessible without the 2-3 second delay.
Better 3g reception.
Better keyboard response.
Faster screen flip when tilting phone.
Supposed to address the random Safari crashes, though I haven’t seen that very often.
I uninstalled AIM and reinstalled it after which ALL my apps started working again. This was after trying a soft and hard reset. Very strange.
Good news is everything is woring great again and the firmware update definitely made the phone and keyboard more responsive. :tup:
