The video may be new but we already knew back in to June 2009 that there will be NASCAR in GT5. It has been reported back at E3 EA lost the NASCAR license to SONY.
I am not a NASCAR fan also, but laugh we might at the inclusion of the series, all the NASCAR gamer fans will have no choice but to get GT5 if they want to play NASCAR on a console, as EA will no longer be able to continue on with their NASCAR franchise.
There is actually a huge following with NASCAR on pc sims, see rFactor.

Depeneding on the track some are all lefts some are all rights and 2 races a year they do both. Nascar haters can go suck a dick.
