Exactly, Hell I usually find myself using maybe 5 of the gears on my bike haha. I’ve got my preferred flat ground gear, and then various slightly easier combos for different uphill grades. If its downhill I’m a lazy fuck and just coast. ---

i want to get a fixie for riding to school, but fuck hipsters. i’d bend the shit out of a road bike, cruisers are lame as hell and i could never afford a mountain bike. maybe a hardtail D/J. since i dont know much about 'em, can you recommend me a few mfg’s? ---

My bike is a $350 Trek mountain bike. Affordable and a great bike to ride. You dont need a $2k bike for regular riding. ---

in the 6 years Ive had mine all I had to do was replace the bottom bracket (I think its the crank) and do one or two tune ups. ---

the bottom bracket is the pair of bearings that hold the crank ---

well thats all that went bad and that was 3-4 years ago. I ride it atleast 20 miles a week in nice weather ---

bbs are one of the longer lasting bearings on any bike. i love riding my bike, i want to get a bigger one to ride to school so i can ride more. ---

I used to have a bike that I needed to repack or replace the bearings on every time I rode it. I think something was out of shape there but I could never tell. I was pretty quick at replacing them after a while. I finally ended up getting another bike after a while, a Mongoose. That bike was heavy as hell and kind of a POS. I traded it in when I got the Trek. ---

Here is a crazy idea. Have different lots for different areas and every once in a while one lot would cruise down to join another :ponder Even if it’s locals meeting up at Nisky just to cruise to LG. Driving far alone is fun thing, driving in a group convoy is a bit more fun. ---
