Richen it up until it pulls clean. Then lean it out 1 number primary and secondary. Test again to see if it still pulls good. If you get the a/f near 12.5-1 leave the jetting and open up the air bleeds. That will slightly lean it out but not by a whole jet number, but will emulsify the fuel better. Make sure you are running an n/a plug and not some cold nitrous plug. ---

im beginning to wonder if my carb gaskets are causing a vacuum leak in turn causing a lean condition that no amount of jet will cure…is this possible? ---

Let it idle. Spray starting fluid around the base. If the idle picks up, you have a leak ---
